Fifth Floor Press is excited to announce the release of Daddy's Car from author Malik Ducard, recipient of the 2015 Jessie Redmon Fauset Award for Best Children's Book, Henry's Big Win.  

Daddy’s Car is the fantastical journey of a child’s mind through a magical city landscape. It’s where hard steel glows with warmth and fun.

Originally from the Bronx, New York, Malik resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three children and is the head of YouTube's Kids and Learning content team.

Malik's first children's book, Henry's Big Win, received the 2015 Jessie Redmon Fauset Award for Best Children's Book, awarded at the annual Leimert Park Book Festival.

Malik collaborated with São Paulo-based illustrator Carlos Brito who has received many awards for his work as an illustrator and fine artist.
